Tip Openings & Reed Recommendations
Because of the high baffle and short facing curve, most players will find they can comfortably play one size larger tip opening than usual, and one half to one full reed strength softer than they typically use. That's why the QUASAR™ line begins at size 6 and tops out at 9*. The 9* will particularly appeal to players who love the classic Berg Larsen 105/1 concept — but unlike older designs, you won't need unconventional reeds for brightness, and the bullet chamber adds fullness that older designs simply can't match.
