Two Inputs. Twice the Possibilities.
The Universal Audio Volt 276 is everything the Volt 176 is — and then some. With two full-featured mic/line/instrument inputs, each with their own Vintage Preamp Mode and independent gain control, the Volt 276 opens up a world of recording scenarios that a single-input interface simply can't handle. Record vocals and acoustic guitar simultaneously. Capture two vocalists at once. Mic a guitar cabinet with two mics for that thick, layered sound. Several members of our staff use Universal Audio interfaces personally, and the consistent feedback is the same: once you hear the difference, it's hard to go back.

Two Channels of Legendary UA Tube Preamp Sound
Press the Vintage button on either channel and you're tapping into the same preamp lineage that shaped records from Ray Charles to Van Halen. Each of the Volt 276's two inputs has its own independent Vintage Mic Preamp Mode — an all-analog circuit, exclusive to Universal Audio, that emulates the legendary UA 610 tube preamp. Run both channels in Vintage mode simultaneously and every source in your recording takes on that warm, full, unmistakably analog character. This isn't a digital simulation. It's real analog circuitry on both channels, at a price that would have seemed impossible a few years ago.

Per-Channel Compression Inspired by the Iconic UA 1176
The Volt 276 puts an onboard 76 Compressor on each input channel — an analog circuit inspired by Universal Audio's legendary 1176 Limiting Amplifier. That means you can compress your vocal independently from your guitar, or dial in different compressor presets on each source at the same time. Three tailored presets on each channel handle the most common recording scenarios right out of the box:
- VOC — Adds presence and polish to vocals
- GTR — Tightens guitars, synths, and bass
- FAST — Punchy attack for drum machines and percussion
Just plug in, pick your presets, and play. Two sources, two compressors, zero hassle.

An Incredible Ecosystem of Plug-Ins Awaits
One of the biggest reasons our staff gravitates toward Universal Audio gear is the software ecosystem. When you register the Volt 276, you gain access to a world-class bundle of UAD plug-ins and instruments that top industry professionals rely on every day — including classic Teletronix LA-2A compressors, Pultec EQs, the PolyMAX Synth, Century Tube Channel Strip, Oxide Tape Recorder, and more. You also get UA's award-winning LUNA DAW, built from the ground up to give your recordings the sound and feel of a real analog studio. The depth and quality of what's available in the UA ecosystem is genuinely remarkable — it's a major part of what sets Universal Audio apart from every other interface brand at this price point.
